Earlier this month, SDDC held the Personal Property Forum (PPF) in O’Fallon, Illinois to discuss items of interest to TSPs and the Military Services. The format was similar to the last PPF held in that there was an effort to keep the focus on larger, more general issues, instead of specific day-to-day issue. …For the past few weeks, JPMO-HHGS has shared their DPS Weekly Activity Report with members of the TSP User Group. The WAR report, as it is known, outlines activities from the previous week related to the fielding of the DPS computer system. JPMO-HHGS has been creating this report for some time for the Services, but have only recently decided to share with the TSP community. We appreciate this increased sharing with Industry, and believe it can only help to improve

For most of the last year, DPS has been a secondary system to TOPS, handling less than a quarter of potential shipments. As we approach peak season, it appears that will change very soon. Recently, short-fuse functionality was added back into the DPS system, which increased the volume in the DPS system. Another release currently scheduled for April 1^st… promises to make another significant increase in the number of shipments booked in DPS.
