Enhanced DPS Blackouts Still Awaiting Testing as Peak Season Nears

In the aftermath of last year’s peak season problems, much time was spent looking for solutions that could be implemented prior to this summer. One area that was quickly identified as a candidate for improvement was the DPS blackout capability. Specifically, by making blackouts more granular, it was hoped that during this peak season TSPs could better isolate areas where they were out of capacity, and not need to blackout larger areas than necessary.

Will SDDC Bring Back SIT Saturation Notices?

Recent DPS Problems Cause Peak Season Concerns

Move.mil Website Adds DPS Metrics

One consistent request from  industry to the government has been for more information to be shared, so that TSPs can better plan and allocate resources. Recently,  a new section labeled DPS Monthly Metrics has been added to the TSP Resources page of the Move.mil website.
