New Smart Book Offers Sneak Peak of Tomorrow’s DPS Update

DPS Lock-Down Coming to a Temporary Halt

During early summer, when DPS was struggling to stay online, the decision was made to “lock-down” the DPS system for the rest of the summer peak season. JPMO-HHGs Report Introduces New DPS Program Director

The July Monthly Activity Report… from JPMO-HHGs begins with an introduction by Col. Mark Hiryak, the new Program Director for the DPS project. Col. Miller retired prior to peak season, and there had been a temporary PMO in place until recently, when Col. Hiryak took over.

DOD Continues to Increase Investment in DPS

For the past two years, we have tracked the amount of money the Department of Defense is spending on the Defense Personal Property System (DPS). After some delay due to the budget impasse in Congress, the new budget numbers for DPS have been released on the Federal IT Dashboard…. SDDC Issues Notice on DPS Rating Problems

This morning, SDDC sent out a notice to TSPs… concerning some DPS rating issues. It specifically addressed known rating problems with LHS, 105J (400NG – Storage Inspection Fee), 105A (400NG – Full Pack/Unpack), and 513A (IT – Fuel Surcharge).

DPS Report Highlights Efforts to Improve DPS System Performance

In wrapping up our recent series on DPS System Problems (see full list of articles here), we mentioned that DPS performance had been improving. The May DP3/DPS Monthly Activity Report…, recently released by JPMO-HHGS, details some of the efforts that were made during the previous month to improve the DPS system performance.
The report notes the problems with the system during the month of May. DPS  up-time was 95% for the month, below their stated goal of 98%.
