USTRANSCOM Releases Responses to Phase III Comments

In today’s Federal Register, USTRANSCOM  released the responses to the comments received on the DP3 Phase III Business Rules. As a reminder, these business rules were released in the spring of 2010, and cover Non-Temporary Storage and the new dS2 (Domestic Small Shipments) moves.

SDDC Allows Unlimited Shipment Refusals During Peak Season

In another effort to maximize the full industry capacity during this busy peak season, SDDC has expanded on some earlier changes to the business rules for a limited time. Earlier this week, they released a message… (pdf link) announcing that TSPs will be able to refuse an unlimited number of shipments from now until July 31, 2011.

SDDC Considers Adjustment to 70% Rule for Peak Season

During the recent SDDC Symposium and Personal Property Forum (PPF), there was a lot of discussion about the upcoming peak season. SDDC Announces “Program Efficiency Review”

During this week’s AMSA Annual Conference’s Military Summit, Lt. Col. Derek Oliver and John Johnson discussed a new SDDC initiative, a “Program Efficiency Review”.  The goal of this process will be to review all aspects of the DP3 business rules and program, and decide whether changes are warranted.

DP3 Phase III Draft Business Rules & Solicitations Posted

Last Friday afternoon, SDDC posted drafts of the DP3 Phase III Business Rules and Solicitations… on their website. These documents have been highly anticipated by TSPs who are eager to see how the government plans to handle the final implementation piece of the DP3 program, covering Non-Temp Storage (NTS) and Direct Procurement Moves (DPM).
