SDDC Changes Rule Regarding Shipment Refusals

Late last Friday, SDDC issued the below message, that in their words was intended to clarify what they now consider a shipment refusal and what is considered a turnback. In their intent to clarify the difference between a refusal and a turnback, they have changed policy that was tweaked last month… to allow a limited number of shipment refusals or turnbacks by a TSP per GBLOC for the time period of May 15 – July 31.

Block 18 Clarification Leads to Additional Questions

SDDC recently released its first updates to the 2011 400NG and International Tender, containing a handful of changes on various topics. While most of the new language contained helpful clarifications, one change may have added more uncertainty.

Updates to the 400NG and International Tender Posted

SDDC has posted new versions of the 2011 400NG and the 2011 International Tender. Among the changes are clarifications of issues and answers to questions raised by the earlier changes, as well as a few new items. SDDC Releases New Invoicing Tools

As part of the process of asserting ownership over the 400NG Tariff, SDDC has published a number of items that used to be provided by American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA), before the Surface Transportation Board ruling that prevented them from maintaining the tariff. The first step was the release of the baseline rates for the 400NG… in January, and recently they added a couple of other tools used in the invoicing process.
