Fuel Surcharge for Period 5/15/10 to 6/14/10

The price of fuel was $3.12 per gallon as reported on Monday, May 3, 2010 making the upcoming FSC rates for the period 5/15/10 through 6/14/10 as follows:

GBL Domestic HHG / International HHG & UB – 7%
GSA Domestic HHG – $0.62
GSA International HHG and BAG – $0.62

Tariff Updates for DS10

Our billing program and AccuBill have recently been updated with the DS10 changes found in the D-18 Solicitation that went into effect for Domestic shipments with pickup dates of 5/1/10 and after.
The changes are as follows:

DOM – new tariff updates (D-18)
1.  Updated SIT first day and Warehouse Handling Rates for all States – Item 400 listing of all States, Counties, Rates, etc.
2.  Incorporated the following Regionalization consolidations:
a. Georgia – Transferred responsibility of CFAK to CHAT

It’s Official: DPS Passes TOPS in Percentage of Shipments Booked

For the first time since the initial DPS shipment was booked in August, 2008; there were more shipments booked in DPS than in TOPS during last week. According the the latest WAR report from JPMO-HHGS, 52% of all shipments booked last week were booked in DPS. As expected, the inclusion of PPM into DPS has given the numbers a big boost, and it is likely the DPS percentage will continue to increase.

Last month, we wrote about the continued confusion surrounding the issue of SIT conversion in DPS. We have yet to see the written guidance from SDDC on the topic of conversion from SIT, but some continued conversations on the DPS invoicing calls may have helped to clarify the issue.
