Improvements On the Way for Non-Temp Storage Billing Process

As anyone involved in Non-Temp Storage (NTS) can attest, the current NTS billing process is inefficient at best, and it can be a real nightmare. It is a manual, paper driven process that results in extremely slow payments for NTS providers, and an expensive, cumbersome payment process for the government. Phase 3 of the DP3 program will make many changes to the NTS program, including the move to an electronic billing process utilizing the US Bank payment system. However, since

Recent DPS Problems Cause Peak Season Concerns

Last summer, lots of things went wrong during the peak season of personal property moves. One of the few things that performed better than expected was the reliability of the DPS computer system. While it may not have always been the fastest or easiest to use software in existence, for the most part DPS did not suffer any major technical problems that rendered it unusable for long periods of time.
As we head into the upcoming 2011 peak season, not

Transmission Issues Continue to Plague Invoicing Process

Recent technical issues with the USBank Payment System and DPS have caused significant payment and processing delays over the past 10 days. Last week,  problems at USBank caused a stoppage of both the payments to TSPs and the submission of invoices to DPS. We were getting calls from TSPs asking why they weren’t getting payments, and emails from PPSOs asking why  we weren’t sending any invoices to approve.
By late last week, USBank had identified and repaired the issues that

What’s Holding Up My Payments?

We have received a number of questions in the last few days regarding the lack of payments being made by USBank’s Payment System for DPS and CWA invoices. Throughout this week, we have been working on two separate issues that are affecting the processing of a large number of DPS and CWA invoices and payments.
The first issue is resulting from problems with invoices transmitting from the USBank Payment System to DPS and CWA. The second issue is affecting invoices…

While they did indicate that the review would be comprehensive, and cover all parts of the program, a couple of topics were mentioned specifically:

  • Number of TSPs:  SDDC will be asking if
