Front Load Washing Machine Compensation Decision Criticized

The decision of the government to eliminate compensation for third party servicing of front load washing machines has certainly sparked a lot of discussion. We have heard many on the industry side express frustration and anger over the decision, but Jim Walsh of Alliance Relocation Services may win the award for most passionate spokesperson on the issue. In  a recent video blog posted on his RelocationAlly.com website, Jim went on quite a rant about his opinion of the government’s decision.

Even if you don’t agree with Jim (although we are guessing that many of you do agree with him), it is an entertaining 3:20 second video. As the CEO of a third party servicing company, Jim is certainly not without some bias on this issue, but he does makes some valid points about the difficulty in stocking all the different types of bolts and kits for the different brands of washing machines. Take a look at the video below and share your comments below or on Jim’s RelocationAlly.com page.

  1. Thank you for posting this! We would love to hear any comments people have.

  2. When SDDC announced this policy change in March at the training symposium, they would not even discuss the issue. It was presented to us, without asking us for comments and they did not want to hear discussion. Until the service member’s begin complaining, nothing is going to happen. SDDC is convinced that the TSP’s are making money hand over fish in this new move system and we are to roll the cost of this service into our rates. That is absolutely ridiculous!
