Clayton Andrews Celebrates 90th Birthday

One of the best things about being located in Norfolk, Nebraska  is that we get to work closely with the wonderful people at Andrews Van Lines. Over the years, we have developed a great relationship with all the Andrews staff, and occasionally have the opportunity to share some of their celebrations with them.

This weekend was one of those opportunities. Clayton Andrews, the owner of Andrews Van Lines, is celebrating his 90th birthday tomorrow. Last Sunday, there was a celebration held in Norfolk honoring Clayton, and a few of us from Daycos were fortunate to attend.

Around 200 people came out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to share  lunch and birthday cake with Clayton, and hear Clayton’s friends and family tell stories and recognize all he has done during his 90 years. It was a wonderful event, and a fitting testament to the impact that Clayton has had during his lifetime. While Clayton is not as active in the van line as he once was, he stays busier than ever working on the Orphan Grain Train, a worldwide relief organization he co-founded.
