400NG Tariff Update

Earlier this week, there was an update to the 400NG Tariff posted to the “What’s New” site of SDDC’s website. While there were no programming changes required for our billing form or AccuBill, there were verbiage changes made to the 400NG that have provided clarification or added new language to particular billing items. Some of the changes are as follows:

Item 17 – Storage-In-Transit (SIT) - Added verbiage addressing use of DOD-Approved SIT facilities as well as provided guidelines for placing a shipment with Direct Delivery Address into SIT at destination.

Item 35 – Third Party Service – Note 3 added, stating that fuel surcharge shall not be billed and will not be paid on third party services.

Item 105D – Debris Removal – Added verbiage that Debris Removal is to be authorized by the Government and requires preapproval.

Item 120 – Extra Labor - Added verbiage that clarifies “Extra Labor charges apply when TSP performs services requested by the Government,” and not the shipper or his agent as it previously read.

Item 130 Light and Bulky Articles –
- 130F – Bulky Trailer – Added “Boat less than or equal to 16ft.”
- 130G – Bulky TV – Added verbiage of “Excluding flat screen televisions.” Also added definition for flat screen TV’s to Note 6 of this section.
- 130H – Grand Piano or Baby Grand Piano – added verbiage of “excluding upright pianos.”

Item 225 – Pickup/Delivery from Mini-Storage –
– Added verbiage that “Item must be requested by government and preapproved by PPSO”.
– Provided verbiage to clarify that “TSP will not be paid more than the min of 1000 lbs unless a separate weight ticket is provided ”

Item 1001 – Surcharges - Note 2 added, advising that services are billable only when TSP has paid for service. Additional verbiage stating that TSP must provide copy of paid receipt upon request of government.
