A great big Congratulations is extended to Amy & Mike Himburg, as they have a new little addition to their family! Kayden Michael Himburg was born this morning, April 27th, here in Norfolk. He weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz, and was 19.75 inches long.
Amy is an Auditor in our Production Department here at Daycos. She and her husband Mike, along with Kearra (8), anxiously welcome Kayden into their family.

Each year the local elementary schools invite students to create an advertisement for their parents’ place of employment, and then the local business can pay to have them published in a special section of the local newspaper. This year, Avery Alder, the fifth-grade son of our Director of Customer Support Paula Alder, created the following advertisement for Daycos:

Since most people in Norfolk have no idea of what we do here at Daycos, we definitely thought Avery’s advertisement was worth

UPDATE (4/22/09) - The technical issue has been resolved and we are now able to access invoices in DPS. We are working through the backlog of invoices for our billing customers that require attention through our follow-up service and hope to be current by the end of this week.
Thanks again for your patience while we worked through this issue with the DPS, SDDC and JPMO-HHGs staff.

Daycos received official notification that the JPPSO-COS Regional Industry Meeting scheduled for May 13-14, 2009, at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado has been cancelled due to high operations tempo/reduction in industry registrations. The good news is that JPPSO-COS anticipates a combined HQ Personal Property Agency meeting scheduled for Fall 2009. Further details regarding this meeting will be provided at a future date.…

With the summer season quickly approaching, as more TSPs start receiving more DPS shipments, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the billing services offered by Daycos can be used on a temporary basis. If you currently have DPS shipments that are ready to be invoiced, but you are not able to create or submit DPS invoices, we would be happy to help you get them sent to PowerTrack so that you can receive payment.

Our billing program and AccuBill have recently been updated with the IS09 changes found in the I-22 Solicitation that went into effect for International shipments with pickup dates of 04/01/09 and after.
The changes are as follows:

INT/BAG – new tariff updates (I-22)
A. CONUS SIT related rates increases.
B. INT reweigh to 60.33 was 59.60.
C. BAG reweigh to 27.17 was 26.84.
D. SIT and Warehouse Handling Charges – INT raised.
E. SIT and Warehouse Handling Charges – BAG …

It is our understanding that GSA/Mid-South has recently started issuing Notices of Overcharge (NOC) on invoices for DPS shipments. If you have received an Overcharge for a DPS shipment, and we perform the billing for your company, please submit the Overcharge to our office for processing immediately so we can review the Overcharge to ensure we are aware of all issues that GSA/Mid-South are bringing up in the notices they are issuing.
