DPS Has Begun!

Yesterday afternoon, a customer informed us that they received a call from a PPSO, telling them that they had been offered a shipment in DPS. This was not a test shipment being created in the DPS test environment, but an actual live shipment being handled in the DPS production environment. The PPSO walked them through the accepting of the shipment, and it is currently scheduled to be picked up August 27th. This was obviously the first shipment offered by that base, since the GBL ends in 0000001 and the new gbls are numbered sequentially from each gbloc.

It is unclear if we will see other shipments start to be awarded before the official launch of DPS, or if this was an isolated offering. It will also be interesting to see if this shipment will be able to be successfully moved through the DPS system.
