DPS Invoicing Testing Shows Progress
As we stated in our March 1 newsletter, we have been very concerned about the progress of the DPS invoice testing, in which Daycos has been participating. However, in the last few weeks, we have seen some drastic improvements, which has increased our optimism for the first time in a long time. However, the story of DPS invoice testing is still a good news, bad news story.
The good news is that we finally feel like the invoice testing is getting the attention and focus it needs, in order to be successfully completed. We are having daily conference calls with the test team, which includes us, PowerTrack, SRA, GEX, and JPMO-HHGS. These daily calls have allowed much better communication and follow-up. Invoices are being sent, received, rated, and returned. Issues discovered during testing are being researched and corrected. If we are able to keep this level of focus, we will be able to identify most of the issues with invoicing in a relatively short time.
The bad news is that we still have a long ways to go to get invoicing functioning correctly, and if the current schedule holds, a very short time to get there. Identifying the problems in invoicing is the easy part. Correcting them can be a time consuming, tedious process. As expected, we are seeing many discrepancies on the domestic side, related to the new 400NG rating engine. Working through all of those issues will likely require more time than the current schedule allows.
However, in light of the GAO ruling and recent joint letter from the Services, it appears that the schedule may slip. If that does occur, and we are able to maintain this same level of focus, there is an opportunity to complete the necessary testing on the DPS invoicing module.
