Billing Additional Packing for Phase I Shipments

For some time we have had CWA costing issues with additional packing charges that are billed when any other packing has been rated and paid on a Phase I shipment. In working with SDDC to rectify the problem, we have received the following resolution from Dave Mullineaux of SDDC:

If there are packing items 100A through 100M costed and paid on an invoice, any subsequent invoicing for items 100B through 100M must use the 429A MISC, with appropriate note.

DPS Implementation Schedule Update

There has been a lot of news in the past few weeks concerning the DPS implementation schedule. First, GAO decided to issue a ruling on a protest of Families First Phase II, then the Services send a joint letter to USTRANSCOM declaring they would not participate in DPS until October 1, 2008, and finally SDDC and JPMO-HHGS announced… the implementation would be delayed.

Update on CWA Validations

Dave Mullineaux of SDDC sent the following email update yesterday regarding the CWA Validations that had been scheduled for implementation last Friday, April 11th.

It's a Girl!!

A great big Congratulations is extended to Toby Barnt and Cassondra Mech, as they have a new little addition to their family! Breleigh Ann Mech was born on Monday, April 14th here in Norfolk. She weighed 6lbs, 15.9oz, and is 20 1/4 inches long.
Cassondra is one of our Revenue Specialists here at Daycos. She and her boyfriend Toby, along with their 4-year old son, Braxton, anxiously welcome Breleigh into their family.

IS08 Tariff Updates

Our billing program and AccuBill were recently updated with the IS08 changes found in the I-20 Solicitation that went into effect for International shipments with pickup dates of 4-1-2008 and after.
The changes are as follows:

INT/BAG – New Tariff Updates (I-20)
A. Incorporated the following Air Force Regionalization consolidations:

  1. Alabama – Transferred responsibility of FMFL to HAFC(JPPSO SAT – San Antonio)
  2. Florida – Transferred responsibility of CKFL to HAFC(JPPSO SAT – San Antonio)
  3. Georgia – Transferred responsibility of CKFL

DPS Invoicing Testing Shows Progress

As we stated in our March 1 newsletter…, we have been very concerned about the progress of the DPS invoice testing, in which Daycos has been participating. However, in the last few weeks, we have seen some drastic improvements, which has increased our optimism for the first time in a long time.
