Rate Filing Error 8

Transcom provided the following clarification to explain the Rate Filing Error 8 that a TSP may receive during DPS rate filing.

To make sure I am correct in the understanding of Error 8 please explain this ASAP. If I receive a Error 8 (Discount is lower than the acceptable low for this channel), does this mean my discount was to low?

ANSWER:

Yes, your discount is too low (i.e. rate is too expensive)

Example is if I file a 60 and receive a Error 8, do I have to file something higher than the 60?

ANSWER:

If you are talking about the domestic program (60%), then yes, if you wish to rebid then the error code indicates you would want to increase your discount (i.e. greater than 60%).
