DPS Training Sessions

The HHGFAA has announced it will be holding three DPS training sessions (“DPS Train-The-Trainer TSP Workshop Program”) in conjunction with JPMO-HHGS. The first of the sessions will be held next week (December 5th & 6th) in St. Louis, followed by a session the following week (December 12th & 13th) in Las Vegas, and concluding with a session in Washington DC the second week in January (exact dates still to be determined).

The workshops will be a two day session, with the first day focused on business rules training, and the following day a hands-on computerized training on the DPS system. A full schedule is available at http://www.hhgfaa.org/alerts/DPSTRAINING.pdf. One other session to note is a forum moderated by Chuck White of HHGFAA on the evening of the first day, which will give TSPs the opportunity to share comments and concerns regarding DPS.

Daycos strongly encourages all our customers to attend one of the HHGFAA sessions. These sessions may be the only opportunity for TSPs to work with DPS prior the program going live. While Daycos will be offering some services that will assist you with handling the DPS workload, we will not be “managing” DPS for our customers. We will be giving you some tools to help you manage DPS, but you will need to know how DPS functions, and these workshops are the best way to gain that knowledge. (Daycos personnel will be in attendance at all of the workshops and available to meet, if you would like more information on our DPS services.)

The St. Louis session is open for registration right now, and still has space available. The Las Vegas session is currently only open to HHGFAA active members, and is nearly full. The Washington DC session will open for registration at a later time, but it is expected to fill up quickly. Therefore, if you want to be sure you get a spot at one of the sessions, you should register immediately for the St. Louis workshop. If you wait for Las Vegas or DC, you may end up missing out entirely. Also, since first chance to register is given to the HHGFAA Active Membership, that group may take all of the Las Vegas and DC slots. If you are not a member of the HHGFAA, or are an Associate Member, then you can currently register for the St. Louis workshop, but there is no guarantee you will be able to register for either of the other two workshops.

To register for the St. Louis workshop, or for more information on the other workshops, please contract Erin Davis (erin.davis@hhgfaa.org) at HHGFAA.
