Get to Know Lisa Jones

DPS Exercise Extended Again

The DPS Production Exercise, which allows TSPs to work directly on the DPS system, has been extended again. It will now continue until August 31st, and any TSPs who wish to join the DPS exercise may do so by emailing DPSSAT@sddc.army.mil and providing your contact info and SCAC code.
While the exercise has not lived up to some TSPs expectations thus far, due to the relative lack of shipments awarded to TSPs, we still encourage TSPs to participate. It may…

Is EDI Being Eliminated by the DOD?

An article posted on the GovernmentExecutive.com website, creatively titled Defense Says Bye-Bye to EDI, and the Federal Register notice… it references, have been generating a lot of recent discussion in the TSP community. The articles seems to be indicating that the DOD will eliminate use of EDI, and mandate the use of the Wide Area WorkFlow system. Since EDI is the transmission method by which we send invoices, this change would obviously have a big impact.
