Upcoming NEW PowerTrack User Interface
Danelle from our Customer Support Department recently attended the PowerTrack Convention in Dallas, TX. During the week of the convention, she was able to participate in a break-out session as well as a Usability study of the new PowerTrack User Interface (UI) that will be released this summer. The following is a recap of her experience with the new UI at the convention providing a snipet of what we can look forward to this summer.
The new UI is condensed and makes things much easier to find. I believe that the PowerTrack presenter stated that they are reducing the number of ‘clicks’ in the system by approximately 58%. I was immediately pleased to see that the ‘Enter’ key will prompt the search function; you no longer have to mouse up to the ‘Find’ button to start your search. What a time saver that will be on every invoice that you do an individual search!
In the current PowerTrack UI system there is duplicated information in the different tabs and the information is somewhat difficult to find. The new system will condense things down into more appropriate (and less) tabs so that there is no duplication of the information. Header information for the invoice seemed to be a lot more informative as well.
The Service Charges tab will be the first tab that comes up when you drill into an invoice since that is the main screen that users work from anyway. From that screen directly you will immediately see any lines are in Audit Exception and exactly what in those lines are causing the exception such as a UOM, a Quantity, or a Price. Those differences will be highlighted and you will be able to make the changes right there without having to drill into that individual line.
I believe the PowerTrack personnel stated the new system would be released in Mid-May.
