SDDC's Special Info Gram #12: The Current DPS Implementation Timeline Update

SDDC recently released the following Info-Gram regarding the updated timeline for the implementation of DPS.

During January and February of 2007, with assistance from the services and the Transportation Service Provider Industry, the Joint Program Management Office Household Goods Systems (JPMO HHGS) conducted a Software Acceptance Testing (SAT) for DPS. The testers reported considerably more system errors than JPMO HHGS had anticipated. The unexpected number of problem reports required JPMO HHGS to re-evaluate DPSs implementation timeline.

Tips from the CWA Help Desk

During a recent TSP conference call hosted by SDDC, the CWA help desk provided the following tips to TSPs to assist in expediting payments of their Families First shipments.

To expedite payments – use the CWA tracking tool to determine what invoices you have that are rejected. Determine from the error code included with the rejection if you need to work with the PT or CWA help desk to resolve the problem.

DPS Testing to Continue Over Summer?

As we noted in our last blog… about the progress of the DPS system, implementation has been delayed until at least this fall. Apparently, General Schwartz, the commander of US Transcom, agreed with the consensus reached at the DPS stakeholder meeting last month that DPS should not be fielded until after peak season. This delay would allow SRA to fix the TPRs discovered during SAT, and allow continued testing of the system.

Courier Deliveries delayed

UPDATE – As Monday, March 5th at 4:00 p.m. CST, we have received nearly all packages delayed late last week due to the winter storm.
