Meet Kirk Strauser

This week we would like to introduce you to one of our five employees in our IT Department, Kirk Strauser.

Kirk started with us here at Daycos in October of 2003. Since then he’s been spending his time developing Daycos’ website and managing all of the related computer systems. Not only is he our Website Programmer, but he recently has taken on the added responsibility as our Network Administrator, updating our systems to meet our future needs. The favorite part of his job is that “There’s always something new to work on. Every day brings new challenges, new ideas, and new problems to solve.” And as if all of this doesn’t keep him busy enough, Kirk has also recently started writing articles and weekly columns for an internationally distributed computer magazine. Kirk has definitely become an asset here at Daycos in our IT Department.

Kirk lives here in Norfolk with is wife, Jen, as well as his three children, Gabby, Jake, and Ariana. The Strauser household is also rounded out with their three dogs and a cat. As much of his free time is spent with his family, there is not hardly any time to squeeze much more into their schedule. In fact, Kirk says that “With two kids in school and active in sports, I don’t have much time for hobbies. Ask me again in about ten years.”
