Santa Makes an Early Stop in Norfolk

This year Daycos kicked off the holiday season a little early, as we held our annual Christmas Party on Friday, December 15th. The festivities took place out at Fair Play Golf Course, where there were 97 employees, spouses, and children who took time to enjoy dinner and drinks together. There were also 34 eager children who were anxiously waiting to see if Santa would make his annual stop at the party again this year.

Fumigation charges

We have had several customers questioning the applicability of fumigation charges. We have been researching this charge and have learned through correspondence with Chuck White of HHGFAA, that “at this time it is SDDC’s policy that fumigation of lift vans to bring them into compliance is NOT a billable pass-through.” Chuck also advised that they have been working with SDDC regarding this charge but it has been forwarded to Transcom for comment and action.…

Federal Register Notice regarding FRV

Today SDDC posted in the “What’s New” section of their web site the Federal Register Notice regarding the mandatory requirement for TSP’s to provide Full Replacement Value (FRV) coverage. Included in the notice are effective dates and guidelines regarding implementation.
As well, there were two additional posts, one containing the Federal Register notice published December 15, 2006 and a third post containing proposed procedures for claims with FRV. You can find all posts in their entirety here….

Tariff Updates

We have updated our system to reflect the recently released tariff updates as noted below.
Change to DW06, effective 11-01-06 (D-11)…
1. On shipments involving SIT, changed the rule that 10% of the applicable sit valuation charges will be based on the TSP’s SIT charges and no longer on the applicable SIT rate provided in item 424 of the D-11.

This morning we received the following email from SDDC regarding an upcoming software release to CWA.
