Interesting numbers from PowerTrack

During the PowerTrack training session at the HHGFAA Annual Meeting, US Bank personnel shared some interesting numbers from Phase I shipments. As you would expect, many of the numbers concerned payment times. Average payment time (invoice creation date to invoice paid date) was 6.8 days in September, including days invoices spent in Audit Exception. Excluding Audit Exception, average payment time was 5.4 days. They also shared Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) for all the invoices that go through PowerTrack. Over the last 12 months, the average DSO was 9.23 days. So far in 2006, it is 6.29 days and in September it was 5.9 days.

Some other interesting numbers concerned audit exception status in PowerTrack. As of last week, there were 695 invoices in Audit Exception status in PowerTrack. While this is down from the 11,000+ that used to be in this status, US Bank personnel were encouraging TSPs to start matching those invoices to get what money is available. They reported that of the $1.7 million billed on those 695 invoices, $1.4 million has been approved by a PPSO and could be paid immediately if the invoices were matched.
