Linda's Sweet 16th

Most of the time when you hear the term “Sweet 16” you are often referring to the fact that someone is turning 16 years old and is now able to get their driver’s license. In our case, we are talking about one of our Computer Programmers, Linda Swenson. This year will mark her 16th year at The Day Companies!

Starting with us in August of 1990, Linda came to work for our company as a Revenue Specialist, mainly doing our post-audit service that we offer to our customers. She spent her days auditing – and eventually even billing shipments in the production room. A few years later she worked in our Back Office Department, but her last and final move was to our Technical Department, where today she is still one of our Computer Programmers. Her days are spent making programming enhancements/maintenance to our Internal Billing Program, including our AccuBill program and all related procedures and processes. She is such a tremendous asset to have on the back-side of things, considering at one time she was running our Billing Program from the front end of it instead!!

Linda lives here in Norfolk with her husband Mark, and their twin 10-year old daughters, Danielle and Lindsay. If they are not consuming all of her spare time, she also enjoys scrapbooking, doing crafts, and collecting Teddy Bears. And after 16 years at The Day Companies, she has two favorites regarding her job; they are “All of the people I work with and developing new programs for new projects and procedures.”
