Phase I Problems

We wanted to give you an update on the progress of our Phase I PowerTrack invoices. The number of invoices we are sending daily to PowerTrack is growing steadily. CWA Slowness

Like many of you, we have been experiencing problems with CWA being slow, and even inaccessible at times over the past couple of days. Here is an email we just received from the CWA Helpdesk about the situation:

To all
The EIP staff is working to move PPQWEB, TCA and PPCIG off of the box that they currently share with CWA. So you may see the system running slow. They are to have this finished by Monday of next week.

Conference Call News

During yesterday’s Phase I conference call, there were a couple of interesting announcements mentioned. First of all, SDDC has apparently reversed course and decide not to remove the Dispute functionality in CWA. This means that PPSO’s will continue to have the ability to dispute line items, as opposed to approving or denying them. There was no word on how they intend to treat the Prompt Payment Interest issue, which is what caused them to decide to remove the dispute functionality…

DELAYED – New Version of CWA Expected This Weekend

This morning we received word that this new version of CWA referenced below has been postponed due to other enhancements being worked.

Business Rules Release Date

Scott Michael from AMSA… has forwarded us a letter received from Col. Keller announcing that SDDC will release the business rules for Families First April 21st. It is not clear whether this will be a complete release of all the business rules, or just certain sections.
We look forward to reviewing the business rules, and we will certainly be keeping you advised of any further information we receive.

Phase I Metrics

SDDC has recently released some new metrics on Phase I. The numbers reveal a 74% increase in Phase I Bookings from 3/15/05 to 4/5/05, indicating the ramping up of the Phase I rollout. The chart below, along with more information, can be found in a PowerPoint posted on the SDDC website.

Taxpayer ID Notice

Like many of you, we received the notice … yesterday from DFAS-Indianapolis instructing that all paper SF1113′s must have the carrier’s taxpayer ID on them.
Our customer support department will be requesting this information from our customers when we do not have it on file.
This is not a new requirement as the Coast Guard and DFAS-Norfolk have requested this information for the past few years, thus, we do try and obtain it from you at time of setup.
